A real-life role model: after her debut with Soft Paris, the direct seller Léha D. proved how recruitment can be an actual stepping stone in this field. Regardless of the chronic disease she fought throughout all her Parties, Léha managed to become a leader in less than 3 months. Direct sales offer everyone the opportunity for professional development! Thanks to recruitment, this extremely brave woman found a way to develop a remarkable network in Guyana and she’s working on doing the same in Guadeloupe and Martinique. That accomplishment made her win the Sea Soft & Sun 2017 Challenge.
  • What did you do before becoming Advisor and leader for Soft Paris?

Before becoming Advisor and leader for Soft Paris I used to be a police officer, then I got a sick leave due to ankylosing spondylitis (joints inflammation). In my situation the disease affects almost all the joints of my body… (ed: still unknown to most people, ankylosing spondylitis is a very painful disease).
  • How did you come up with the idea of joining direct sales? Why Soft Paris?

It was an ordinary night and - as usual - pain was keeping me awake. I stumbled upon Soft Paris thanks to a TV show and what hit me the most was its original and vulgarity-free way of discussing the topic. So I realised that a job like that would have kept me away from my apartment and away from the pain. I became an Advisor without even participating to a Party.
  • Why did you choose to become a leader and what did that mean to you?

I talked about it with my leader Lucie C. and she encouraged me in that direction, she actually helped me to put my first team together. On the other hand, some big changes in my private life brought me down really hard and made me doubt my job with Soft Paris. My husband and my leader made everything in their power to keep me from quitting and especially losing 2016 National Day. I saw that as a sign, because the 2016 theme was “optimism”, so I couldn’t do anything but telling myself “nothing happens by chance”!
  • You built a team made of more than 20 people in just few months, that’s great. What’s the reason of your success?

Definitely the people who surround me: I am continuously encouraged and supported by my family, my friends and my leader! And let’s not forget Soft Paris’ optimism... which motivates, guides and leads me in all the decisions I have to take! The most important thing is to always believe in what you do, otherwise it’s not worthy. I’ll never stop repeating this: positive attitude brings positive things. Of course, if you care to succeed in the debut and the development of this activity, the training offered by Soft Paris (on management, sexology etc.) is equally useful. Motivation, determination and willpower! I would also like to thank my zone manager Sylvie and Agnéta which lives in La Réunion.
  • You built a team whose members live more than 4000 miles from each other, how did you do it? How do you organize your schedules?

Being Guianese, I felt that it was important to bring Soft Paris’ brand to my country, since here (ed: in France) it is well on track (Soft Paris is N°1 in naughty products sale, of that there’s no doubt). It only took me 2 weeks to recruit and train 7 Advisors! Here is how I organize the workflow: - I plan Skype training sessions the best way I can, considering all the different time zones. - France’s “live” training sessions take place in my leader’s house. This way the members of my team get to meet other Happiness Advisors and share tips with them. - I organise “live” training sessions in Guyana every two months and I move there for two weeks especially for the occasion.
  • Has being an Happiness Advisor helped you in your personal life somehow?

Becoming an Happiness Advisor meant a huge personal enrichment to me (they couldn’t have chosen a more pointed name for this kind of profession). It helped me look less “cold” (being a police officer did the exact opposite) and more cheerful. I was able to put myself back on track from both a personal and professional point of view and also within my couple. The key to all if this is that: I LOVE MY JOB! And for that I need to thank Lucie who believed in me and also Soft Paris: it is very difficult to find such a level of acknowledgement. I did and, as time goes by, I am more and more convinced of the choice I made!
  • Which is your best memory of Soft Paris?

There are several of them: National Day 2016, Sea Soft & Sun 2017 Challenge and all the amazing people I met during Soft Parties, recruitment sessions and trainings.
  • Identikit: if Léha were...

A Soft Party: Les amants A capital sin: gluttony A movie: The Green Mile An actress: Halle Berry A proverb: “Nothing happens by chance” A Soft Paris’ product: Bianca ensemble One last motto? Soft Paris kept me from drowning during a challenging period of my life… Thank you Annelolotte (ed: Soft Paris’ founder) for having this amazing idea and thanks to all the people who worked hard to make it come true! Follow my advice: do not hesitate, because life’s too short to not make the most out of it. Thanks to my team for having followed me in this amazing adventure!
